Project Overview

The Plants Fortress is a smart plant pot with some special features such like sensors, snail barriers and can control by mobile application. This project was done as a university group project with my few colleagues.
Our Problem:
Snails and slugs damage(eat) plants, seeds, seedlings, underground tubers, leaves and fruits. Damaging the seedlings causes to death of the plant, which will be a major loss.
During the monsoon season, the snails and slugs are active highly and destroy the plants and crops at the home gardens, and also during the dry season they damage crops and plants minimally.
Our Solution:
The barrier method is one of the most effective method to reduce the damage caused by snails to the home gardening. We make a smart plant pot with a snail barrier. Additionally we add a soil moisture sensor and sunlight intensity level sensor to the pot. We can access to the pot via android application and see the levels of data that collected by sensors and also can control them.
